Pyramid SETAC
VarioFlex SETAC
SETAC (Server Appliance To Converter) is a technology of the Pyramid OEM Partners Silicom. With SETAC network modules and VarioFlex server platforms, specialized network and security appliances can be designed very quickly and flexibly. The front accessible LAN ports are ideal for all applications that require frequent reconfiguration of the port assignment. The Pyramid VarioFlex 1U chassis offers up to four slots for SETAC modules, VarioFlex 2U and 3U up to seven slots.
SETAC Modules work with standard Intel NIC drivers and do not require any additional Software.
Pyramid offers Silicom SETAC PCI-Express modules as an option for VarioFlex in several different versions (Copper, Fiber, Bypass) and different port density (up to 8 x 1GbE).
A unique feature is the easy exchange of SETAC Modules. Changing LAN configuration of rack installed servers and appliances was never easier. Using the SRT (SETAC Release Tool) server reconfiguration or service swaps of modules is possible without taking the server out of the rack. SEAT Modules are field replaceable and can be sold via distributors e.g. as upgrade kit for server-appliances.
