EFB Elektronik was founded in 1988 in Bielefeld as a manufacturer and system supplier of fiber optic and copper cable assemblies.  In addition a wide range of analog and digital surveillance cameras and accessories for video surveillance systems, structured cabling solutions for voice and data communication complement the portfolio. The customer portfolio of EFB comprises not only the best addresses of the IT and security industry but also retailers, industrial customers as well as end users from various branches. EFB-Elektronik currently has approximately 150 employees in six locations.

About EFB PCR (Protective Center Recorder)

EFB PCR (Protective Center Recorder) is a family of IP network video recorders able to manage data from up to 64 IP cameras. Extensive management options, support for WebClients and the simple user control set standards in digital video surveillance. Powerful hardware and expandable storage make PCR a long-term investment in your safety.

The Task

The challenge for Pyramid was to develop a system optimally tuned to the customer's software. Among other things the goal was to develop a very silent yet powerful system capable to receive and manage data from up to 64 IP cameras. In addition the device should be available both as a desktop version as well as a rackmount model and identical design. The long-term availability and reliability of the components were of course basic requirements for a product in this sensitive area.

Basis for the customer solution was the proven Pyramid DesQFlex platform. With only one chassis the customers demand for an expandable desktop / rackmount system was met.
The almost inaudible thermal management of the DesQFlex platform ensures good cooling and long-term stability of the components used. Special attention was paid to the system compilation: Pyramid was able to offer the customer different long-term available solutions for evaluation.

Logistics, Delivery & Support

The EFB PCR systems are assembled to costumer specifications and equipped with a costomized bezel. The software is preinstalled and the systems are delivered turnkey ready to EFB. A 100% quality assurance and regularly trained employees in our production and logistics center in Erfurt ensure that only technically and optically perfect products leave our factory.
