TIGER|APP - The project

OPTIMAL SYSTEMS (OS) develop and market Enterprise Content Management (ECM) software solutions.
OS was set up in 1991 in Berlin and is now one of the leading German providers of individually configured
solutions for digital archiving, documenting and Business Process Management. OS is works internationally in all sectors.

The task

Pyramid's task was to integrate the two software components on two physically divided 19" 2U systems. For this, the hardware needed to correspond with each task area of the software.

Hardware Design

For a legally compliant archiving, various technical and organizational measures and procedures have to be implemented. Therefore, the objective was to find the optimum hardware for the corresponding software components. The main priority when selecting hardware was stability, performance, reliability and durability, because TIGER|APP also archived sensitive patent data.

The server component with the OS.5|ASH features an Intel Xeon DualCore Processor and   
has 2 GB of RAM. It also contains two 250 GB hard disks (RAID Level 1), one 8 x DVD-ROM drive and a network card. The iTernity (a Pyramid associated company) CAS technology comprehensively meets the mandatory requirements for legally compliant archiving.

Individual bezel design

The TIGER|APP was developed using a standard Pyramid 2U chassis. The front bezel matches Optimal Systems coprorate design and shows a photorealistic print of a tiger's fur - symbolising the product's name.
