Pyramid SETAC
VarioFlex SETAC
SETAC (SErver To Appliance Converter) ist eine Technologie des Pyramid OEM Partners Silicom.
Mit SETAC Netzwerkmodulen und den VarioFlex Serverplattformen lassen sich spezialisierte Appliances z.B. für den Netzwerk und Securitybereich sehr schnell und flexibel entwerfen.
SETAC Module benötigen nur die Intel Standardtreiber für Netzwerkkarten und keine zusätzliche Software.
Die an der Gehäusefront zugänglichen Ports sind ideal für alle Anwendungen die ein häufiges Neukonfigurieren der Portbelegung erfordern. Die Pyramid VarioFlex 1U Chassis bieten bis zu vier Einschübe für SETAC Module, VarioFlex 2U und 3U bis zu sieben Einschübe.
Pyramid bietet Silicom SETAC Module, mit PCI-Express Interface, als Option für alle VarioFlex Serverplattfor- men in verschiedenen Ausführungen (Copper, Fiber, Bypass) und mit unterschiedlicher Portzahl (bis zu 8 x 1GbE) an.
Einzigartig ist der schnelle und einfache Modultausch. Mit Hilfe des SRT (Setac Release Tool) ist der Modultausch zu Servicezwecken oder bei Konfigurationsänderungen möglich, ohne das Gehäuse zu öffnen oder den Server aus dem Rack nehmen zu müssen. SETAC Module sind Channel-fähig, d.h. können bespielsweise als Upgrade-Kit für Appliance-Server über Distributoren vertrieben werden.
